Cooper Family Portraits – Seoul

Family Photographer in Seoul - Cooper

It was their last two weeks in Korea when Katherine reached out to see if I had any availability. She and Tony had moved here with their adorable, and extremely energetic, children. However, time was up here, and they would be moving to the United States for a time. May is a month where I always recommend booking well in advance, as it is one of the busiest months of the year here in Seoul. However, we managed to schedule in one afternoon that would work for us all and shoot some family portraits with a Korean flair for the family to remember their time here by.

With Korea’s quick and constant urban development, much of what could be considered traditional Korean is gone. The palaces are the best example of something that represents the old Korea, and their beautiful architecture makes for a great background – especially if your kids want to wear Hanboks. Olivia and Sebastian had specifically asked their parents to get them a Hanbok each, after the movers had packed up the house, of course!

At this stage, we had already spent an hour together wandering about the palace in our ‘everyday’ clothes. Sebastian and Olivia had proved themselves extremely co-operative and fun – albeit not as quiet as some of the other palace guests! We had a great time chasing each other in and out of the gardens, and doing our best to keep Sebastian’s ‘stinky shoes’ on the ground in our sit-down family portrait.

All in all, a wonderful day with a wonderful family. Thanks again to Katherine and Tony for having me out to spend the afternoon with them. All the best with your next adventures!
