Wedding Photography Services Guide

WelkinLight Photography offers documentary-style wedding photography in Seoul and all over Korea. My focus is always on you and your day, so no two weddings are ever the same. Whether you’re having a small wedding with just a few guests or a large wedding with all the family, I can tailor a custom package just for your wedding. Get in touch to talk through options for capturing this special day.

In this guide, you’ll get an idea of what working with me will be like and how the overall process will go. Read it carefully so we can make the most of your once-in-a-lifetime day and capture it in the best way possible.

Before the Wedding

Once we’re in touch, we’ll hopefully have plenty of time to discuss the details of your wedding. It’s great if you can share details about your venue, guests, and the schedule of your wedding. All of those help me to get an overall idea of the day. This is also a great time to share if there are any specific images you’d like captured on the day. For example, if you have a relative coming from afar, just let me know and we’ll make sure they get in plenty of pictures. If possible, it’s always great if we can go to visit the venue together and walk through your wedding before the date. We’ll also want to discuss having a second photographer at the wedding. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Being able to get multiple angles and cover two different areas of the wedding at the same time provides us with so many more opportunities to give you additional memories from the day.

During the Wedding

Expect us to be there early for you. That will usually be around one hour before the scheduled start time. I’ll be there with a cup of coffee in hand to get myself in the right mindset to capture every detail of your wedding and also to respond to any last minute requests you might have. Typically, I will start by canvassing the venue before any of your guests arrive to make sure you have a collection of photos that document all the hard work that went into your wedding. Once the guests start arriving, we’re aiming to capture all the joy that comes with those first greetings. Grab one of your photographers at any time here. We’re there for you and to make the photos you want from your day. Once the wedding starts, forget us. We’ll be around. This is the part of the wedding when we’re in full documentary mode. There will be hundreds, if not thousands, of pictures made during the ceremony. Every moment will be recorded beautifully for you. Once the ceremony is over, we’ll be at your disposal again!

After the Wedding

Once the wedding is over, the team will set about making double copies of your precious moments before they even go to bed. Everything will be safe and ready for the next part of the process: editing and post-production. Typically, for a wedding, this takes around one month. At this time, you’ll receive a Dropbox link that will contain the selected photos from the wedding in both printable and web-shareable resolutions. If you’ve ordered an album, this is the time we’ll sit down and select the images for your book.
