The International Bar Association held their annual conference in Seoul in 2019, and I was thrilled to be a part of the team to cover this extensive event. This event was attended by 3000 of the world’s top lawyers and was surrounded by a week-long series of smaller events related to the profession of law. A big pat on the back goes to the MCI team from Sydney, who were responsible for the organisation of this event. As always, they did a stellar job.
This opening ceremony consisted of several welcoming speeches from notables such as Korea’s Ban Ki-Moon and President Moon Jae-in. There was also a live Taekwondo performance and Korean drumming to usher the guests into the next section of the event. There, I would move from event photographer into running a photo booth for the guests to enjoy and get a take-home souvenir from. The logistics of getting prints to 3000 people in real-time were a challenge to organise, but we pulled it off without a hitch.
Finally, I’d like to extend a big thanks to my colleagues below for being such a wonderful group to work with.
