Early summer is a wonderful time for a photo shoot in Korea. From the end of May to most of the way through June, we are surrounded by fresh green tones of the new season, see very little rain, and have some of the nicest light of the summer months. On top of that, it’s not too hot and humid, yet!
Andy had been looking into a few different parks for his proposal in Seoul when he reached out and one of them was Seonyudo. This park was formerly a water processing plant in Seoul and has been converted into a beautiful space that is at its best in spring and summer. His criteria were beautiful and not overly crowded, so this would be the perfect choice. Even during the week, the more famous parks can be quite crowded, but this one tends to be less so.
Of all the various vignettes I share with Andy, he settled on this one as the final location for the big moment. I used my AR sun tracker to check the position of the sun and we settled on a window of time that would give the most beautiful light for the proposal. As you can see, Andy absolutely nailed the timing!
After the emotion-filled moments of the proposal, he introduced Melissa and we went for a quick walk around the park together to make the most of the setting sun in our images. This is another great thing about Seonyudo; there’s so much variety in a small park. This means we really don’t need to go far to capture a variety of completely different scenes.
Thanks again to Andy and Melissa for entrusting me with this pivotal moment in their lives together. I wish you all the best with your future together.
