2014 Year in Review – Part 4 – Seoul Photographer

Korea Family Photographer

Here we are at the fourth and final slice of 2014. After finally delivering all of the work from last year, I have collected a few of my favourites from October, November, and December to share with you in a final year in review post. Parts one, two, and three are up as well, if you haven’t seen them yet.

October started with an amazing two-day workshop that Andy Faulk and I co-hosted for Flash Light Expeditions in Gyeongju, South Korea. We spent two action packed days crafting photographic mini-stories all over Gyeongju. My favourite frame from my first story was this lady who had traveled almost 300km from Gwangju to visit the Buddha hall at Bulguksa.

Soon after returning to Seoul, I was able to spend a day with with Murphree family as they bonded with their new son, Jack Cruz. There were so many wonderful moments during the day as these two children explored life as siblings, and their parents adjusted to having two active young gentlemen around the house. The full story can be found in the original Day in the Life post.

I would also spend a shorter day with the Tsong family, and have quite a few runs down the slide as we discovered Danny’s love for taking the slide on his back and staring at the sky.

Before winter set in, the Zanes family and I would also spend a day on the town with their son Michael taking the lead. We went from park to palace, and back again, to see the sights during their short stay. Michael loved his new siblings just as much as they loved him, giving their parents an easy day! The full story for this warm autumn day will be up soon!

Getting used to the Fuji x-t1 was fun over these few months as well. I took to the streets with Marco Devon to shoot a few portraits and see how the Fuji would hold up. It did spectacularly. As a portrait camera, it does not disappoint.

November was filled with great family times as well. Starting with this lovely young lady, her parents and their dog, Chewy.

The cold weather didn’t stop us from heading outside in December. We started off with a vacation session with the Keoy family as they visited Everland for a day.
